Awande Mshotana People's Law

Awande Mshotana is a formerly incarcerated activist for people’s rights from South Africa. During his years of incarceration he completed his Matric certificate with four distinctions, then furthered his education with a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) (cum laude) through the University of South Africa. He currently works for the non-profit organization, People’s Law, a paralegal education training programme with the aim of providing access to justice. At People’s Law, Awande works as a paralegal and a facilitator, advising and educating people on law-related issues.
