Canaan Nkamuhabwa Justice Defenders

Canaan Nkamuhabwa is a lawyer and social worker from Uganda. He currently works as a Legal Officer/Senior Defender at Justice Defenders, an internationally recognized organization that trains paralegals and lawyers within prisons to provide legal services for themselves and others. Canaan completed his LLB from the University of London through a legal training program offered by Justice Defenders for incarcerated individuals. With this legal knowledge, Canaan successfully overturned his murder conviction and death row sentence and returned home to his family in 2022. Canaan loves people, music, and cows, and as a practicing Christian, enjoys spending time at church.
