Matteo Cassini Justice Defenders

Matteo Cassini is the Director of Growth at Justice Defenders, overseeing fundraising, communications, new partnerships, and expansion efforts. He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and was awarded the 2018 Titmuss Prize for Best Dissertation. Matteo’s diverse experience was shaped in academia, Africa, and prisons, where he has served with Justice Defenders in various capacities for over nine years. His deep knowledge of the organisation has directly translated into key fundraising wins and successful partnerships that have driven Justice Defenders’ growth. Born and raised in Verona, Matteo now resides in the UK with his wife, Lilian, and their children, Alfeo and Florie. Outside work, he is a passionate guitar player, songwriter, avid cook, and film enthusiast.
